Banyan Tree Counselling
Inspired by the Banyan tree—a symbol of stability, connection, and resilience—Banyan Tree Counselling offers a safe, nurturing space where individuals and couples can grow, heal, and thrive. Like the tree itself, which provides shelter and regenerates even after hardship, the practice is founded on a belief in the enduring strength of the human spirit. The counselling approach is grounded in compassion and connection, with the understanding that, with the right support, people can recover, rebuild, and flourish.

I’m a counsellor driven by a genuine desire to support people in discovering meaning, connection, and purpose in their lives. My approach is person-centred and strengths-based, grounded in the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and change.
At the heart of my practice is a deep sense of empathy, an unwavering acceptance of others, and a natural ability to empower and motivate. I work collaboratively with clients to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where trust can grow and meaningful change can begin.

Whether you're navigating stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or exploring questions around identity and purpose, I am here to walk alongside you.
My commitment to ongoing personal and professional development ensures that I bring both heart and skill to every session. If you're ready to begin a conversation about where you are and where you’d like to go, I’d be honoured to support you on that path.

Space
What to expect in your first session
Making that first appointment is a courageous step, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions—relief, uncertainty, even nervousness. You may be wondering what counselling actually involves or if it’s the right space for you. These feelings are entirely understandable, and you're not alone in them. Your first session is simply about getting to know each other. There's no pressure or expectation to share everything all at once. It’s a space for you to begin talking about what’s been on your mind—what’s brought you to counselling, any challenges or symptoms you’re experiencing, and what you hope to gain from support. I may ask some questions to better understand your needs, but always at your pace. At the start of the session, I’ll introduce myself, explain how counselling works, and walk you through our confidentiality agreement—this means everything we discuss remains private and held in trust. This session is a gentle beginning. My role is to be fully present for you, offering a non-judgemental and supportive space where you can feel safe to explore whatever you’re ready to share. You won’t be pushed or rushed—just met with empathy and acceptance. To help you prepare, it can be useful to reflect on what’s been challenging you lately or what you’d like to work through. You might even jot down a few questions you’d like to ask. If you can, try to be open and honest—this helps build the foundation for meaningful support tailored to you. Most importantly, know that this space is for you.
Ready to take the next step toward greater clarity, connection, and wellbeing? Booking your counselling session is simple and confidential. Choose a time that suits you—whether it’s a convenient weekday evening via telehealth or a calm, in-person session on a Saturday. I’m here to support you in a space that’s safe, inclusive, and centred around your needs.
